OVHS Annual Meeting

It’s that time of year!  The Oro Valley Historical Society will have its Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 28 at 3:00 in the Pusch House at Steam Pump Ranch.  Find out what’s happening including the next phase of restoration of the Procter Garage for our “home”.

Our membership year is March to March….so march to the meeting to begin or renew your OVHS membership.  Individual Membership is $20 and Family Membership is $30.  We hope that as a member, you’ll not only enjoy our lectures and events but that you’ll actively participate in our volunteer positions.  As a volunteer, you’ll meet people, become familiar with local history and serve your community.

Another great reason to attend the meeting, is our “in-house” historian, Jim Williams, will take to the lectern and share his knowledge of Oro Valley’s interesting past.  Jim is a popular speaker and recently wrote the book “Claiming the Desert” Settlers, Homesteaders, and Ranchers in Oro Valley Arizona 1865-1965.

And last but not least, we’ll have Jim Click “Millions for Tucson” Raffle tickets for sale.  Each and every ticket purchase of $25 goes directly to OVHS.  Not only will you have a chance to win a Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2 Round-trip tickets to anywhere in the world or $5000 but you’ll be supporting OVHS, too!
