A huge thank you to the Arizona Historical Society for their grant in 2024 to the Oro Valley Historical Society!

This funding allowed us to preserve a 100-year-old shawl owned by Gertrude Pusch, George and Mathilda Pusch’s daughter. The shawl is believed to have been her worn at her wedding to Henry W. Zipf. Previously stored in our archives and exhibited only occasionally, this delicate shawl is now on permanent display showcased above Gertrude’s steamer trunk alongside other cherished possessions donated over the years.

We are also grateful to Mo Gaul and Corinne Blake of Mo’s Gallery for their expertise in framing, protective glass, and installation.

Come see this beautiful shawl in the Pusch Room at the Pusch House Museum at the historic Steam Pump Ranch. We are open Saturdays 9am – noon, September – April!
