A Dream Come True

A huge thank you to the Arizona Historical Society for their grant to the Oro Valley Historical Society! This grant enabled us to preserve a 100+year old scarf which belonged to Gertrude Pusch, George and Mathilda Pusch’s daughter.  The scarf is believed to have been her wedding scarf, and it is now displayed on a permanent basis in the Pusch Room at the Pusch House Museum on the historic Steam Pump Ranch.

The scarf has been carefully protected in our archives for many years and has been brought out at certain times of the year for various exhibits.  Now, our visitors will be able to view it as soon as they enter the Museum.  We have placed it above Gertrude’s steamer trunk with some of her other possessions which have been donated to us over the years.

We also owe thanks for the professionalism, knowledge, and care provided by Mo Gaul and Corinne Blake of Mo’s Gallery and for the guidance given to us for the protective glass, the framing, and installation of the scarf.

Come see our new addition when you visit the Pusch House Museum at Steam Pump Ranch on Saturdays from now through April!
