HISTORY IS BACK!!!
After a summer hiatus, the Oro Valley Historical Society is ready to welcome you
back to Steam Pump Ranch at 10901 North Oracle Road in Oro Valley! We will
have the historic Pusch House open for tours every Saturday from 9 a.m. – noon
beginning on September 9. Docents will be on hand to offer information and
answer questions like who built it? when? why? how? We have the answers!
Instead of just quickly driving past this historic ranch, come in (the Pusch House is
air conditioned!), and we’ll share with you some Oro Valley history.
In September, we will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and will let you
know about the early Hispanic settlers of our area – where they came from, how
they got here, some of their traditions, both early on and now.
Don’t forget the Heirloom Farmers’ Market that occurs every Saturday at Steam
Pump Ranch – grab a cup of local coffee, enjoy a huge burrito or crepe, wander
through the local purveyors’ stalls to see what healthy items they have for your
daily use, and then see what history awaits you at the historic Pusch House
museum. The tours are complimentary, and donations to keep Oro Valley History
alive are welcome!
We hope to see you soon – history loves company!
