Local Artist Dan Hoffbauer Supports OVHS

SAAG Award-Winning Saguaro Sunset by Dan Hoffbauer 2025

In September 2025, Dan received the Award of Merit for his painting Saguaro Sunset. His work also includes a vivid historical representation of a cattle round‑up at Steam Pump Ranch, circa 1880, titled Watering the Cattle.

Through Dan’s generosity, 25% of all sales from his Steam Pump Ranch Series paintings and prints are donated to support local history.

Dan is a member of Southern Arizona Arts Guild.  SAAG has graced the walls of the Overlook Restaurant on a complimentary basis for approximately 15 years, rotations occurring twice a year.  Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or beverage at the restaurant, while appreciating one of the best views in Oro Valley!
