Join us on a 60-minute gentle walk around the grounds of Steam Pump Ranch where our naturalist, Paul Canez, shares interesting and fascinating facts/stories about our unique desert environment. Learn specifically about the unique vegetation of the Sonoran Desert, which will include a tour of the Heritage Garden, where you will learn about the plants being grown that have sustained native peoples for thousands of years. Visit a re-created pit house and explore the many means they used to produce and store food while understanding how they lived, thrived, and survived in our amazing desert.
